    Hey everyone,

Wanted to know whats the highest speed you can get on the Q9100 processor. whats the highest FSB etc.

Also is there much difference between the Q9100 and QX9300 when it comes to gaming etc.? Except for the slight difference in speed??

    Regards,
    Darthmaniac

It all depends on the chip specifically. Some chips OC higher then others, even if both are Q9100's. Only way to tell in your case is to OC it and find out, continue increasing untill you find a stable limit. If your OCing for benchmarking, then you only need it stable enough to make it through a bench run. If your OCing for day to day use, then you'll likely go lower. You can run OCCT or Intel Burn test to test stability. It also depends on your cooling. Cooling can make a lot of differance in CPU stability.

For gaming, the difference between the Q9100 and the QX9300 would be minimal at most, for most games. However, processor intensive games would see a boost.

As DR650SE says, every single processor is unique. The only way to find out how far yours can overclock is to test it yourself.
