hey guys. ANy info if you will be able to OC the Q9000 like an AsusW90VP can with setfsb? Is the M17 Quads able to be OC'd? Trying to decide between the q9000 and qx9300. Thanks

We've got word that there will be two levels of overclocking, but we can't see the description page for the new M17X yet.

This question should have been put in the "official" M17X thread btw.

thanks Rob. Can the Alienware be OC in the bios or a separate program run in Windows like setfsb? How do you OC your M17?

    Not in the bios.

I've used Setfsb on mine without any over heating or any other issues.

I don't use it on a regular basis though, as it really doesn't make much difference while gaming.

I'm not sure how the new M17X will achieve it's factory over clocking. I'm guessing there will be a software solution run from the desktop.

Could be a button as well. We'll have to wait a little longer to find out.
