    hello,

    i bought a 4 gb ssd from ebay i was going to use it for running my pagefileing in windows and running the rest of it as readyboost but my computer dont seem to even see its there. i have a alienware m17 and i put the card in the spot that the tv tuner would go sence i dont have a tv tunner. so here is the link of the one i got and i dont know if its a doa card of if its just not supported on this system can someone let me know so that i can eather get ahold of the seller to get a replacement sent or if i should just leave the feed back because i got one that isnt supported by my laptop.

    it fits in the slot no problem but every time i put it in if i have my laptop battery in or have it connected to power it turns on the laptop every time so if i put it in or take it out i have to have the battery removed and the ac cord unplugged. let me know what you guys thing.

    Even though it fits into the Mini PCI-e slot, the computer it was designed for uses that slot as a SATA slot - but non standard connection obviously

    So the SSD is made for a physical Mini PCI-e but logical SATA slot where your M17 has a physical AND logical Mini PCI-e slot

    Sorry dude, but it will be a no go. Your best bet for something like that is the Intel Turbo memory - but this is getting pretty poor reviews thus far

    Why not get 4GB of ram instead of the 2 you have...that will give you much better performance for a cheap price

    yea i was just looking for a cheap and quick thing to do. and 15 bucks total sounded good but i am not sure
