Ok so I got a m15x. The power is great... the case in general is great.

The touchpad .. sucks! In every way.

Im used to a studio XPS 1640. The touch pad is glossy and smooth and the buttons are soft.

This M15x has a rough touch pad which causes my finger to not run accross it smooth .. it runs accross it like im sliding it on rubber.. it grips it. Not good and it shows in the not so smooth mouse movment
    (yes removed the drivers)
On top of that the buttons click like my old crappy gateway from 1999.
I havent seen this in soo long .. guess im spoiled by Dell. I have had all XPS for the past 5 years so so.

If anyone has any suggestions for fixes for these I would be greatfull. I need and want the power that the m15x but this stuff is driving me actually crazy. :S

The input part of this comp ie keyboard and touchpad honestly feel cheap as cheap can be. It really is disappointing that they did this .. I really thought it would be top top notch since its big bad alienware.

Just a venting session this post was.. and just hoping to get some ideas or thoughts back from other m15x users.

Also another strange note is .. it seems some of the keys on my keyboard are printed off and are misalligned.. very odd lol. :D

this serves NO purpose other then to rant and irritate people ....

What do you or anybody else expect us to do ? We cant make your touchpad smooth and we don't have any custom driver

Just take sandpaper and sand it down with finer and finer paper until the texture you desire is there ...

If you think its cheap return it , simple as that.

The keyboard feels exactly like the one on the XPS 16. I just typed on both and I can't discern any difference. The touchpad + buttons are better on the XPS 16 but who cares? Use a BT mouse or wireless mouse if it bothers you that much. And really, it's not THAT bad with Windows drivers, I think you're just exaggerating.

Why dont to check what brand the touchpad is, then replace it.

Also, what does *click goes teh buttons* mean?

yup had same issue with my m15x,you are talking about older model right? keyboard and mouse pad sucks but i didn't mind since i used external gaming keyboard and mouse. did you ever try the sticker thing they gave you for the mouse pad. or you can do what i did just sell it and move on.
