So I called Dell support and asked to purchase a 4 year extended warranty as well as the 4 year accidental coverage. He stated that there was no part for that so I could not purchase it as well as to wait 2 weeks to see if there would be a part number assigned to it. I initially didn't add the warranty and I have already received my 18. I was just really confused about having to wait and purchase and extended warranty. Has anyone had any experience with purchasing the extended warranty after receiving your laptop? Is the price more expensive and is it possible for me to get the price for this warranty to be the same as if I purchased it along side my laptop? Thanks for the help!

For the extended warranty it is possible. For me what I did was got a 3 year extension since I only got 1 year initially however it will likely be more expensive than if you got it with the laptop at the time of purchase. I didn't inquire about a 4th at the time but I found out later that the warranty can only be for up to 5 years in total so I can do it once more for an additional year later on if I so choose (it isn't a once and done thing).
