    Partitioning Hard Drive

    Anyone know of any partition software that support windows 7? I have partition wizard pro v5, but it doesnt work.

    Also, Whats the respawn recover partition? Is it needed?

    The respawn partition allows you to put the unit back to the way it originally shipped to you and is important if you don't have regular backups and system image to restore from, keeping it is a personal matter really. Windows 7 has a built in ability to repartition it is called Disk Management you can access it by copying and pasting the words Disk Management and placing it in the search window at the bottom of your screen when you open Start.

    Not unless that is what you want. I believe you want to split the drive in half, to do this when the drives come up after hitting the Disk Management part go to the drive that you wish to split and right mouse click on it, this will bring up a window with Shrink option which is what you will use to split the segments. Once this is done the part that will be the new drive will show as a logical partition and can be given a drive letter, i.e. E: since you have the other drives in like C: and DVD drive etc.
