Nice pics. Enjoy your new system! How would you say the build quality of your system is? The fact that they use plastic seems like it might not be to good, but it probably is pretty good.

I thought they were all made of some kinda plastic?? The quality is excellent! Key board flex seems to be fixed cause I dont seem to have it. But the touch buttons really need new firmware or drivers. This system is A1! Vista Ultimate is kinda sucky though. I will try to give some kinda of review, keep ya posted.

Its got the 45nm extreme, 8800gtx, 4gig g.skill 4-4-4-12 timmings! 1440x900, Vista Ultimate, 200gig 7200 and the smart bay batt. is not here yet, had them ship it when they come in, I think the 13th?? Cost almost $4000, right at about 3950 with tax and shipping costs. And alienware/user its my ketchen table you see in the pics not my office room, maybe I will add pics of that later too. And for the mouse in the pics is the logitech vx mini and I absolutly love it you can see how small the usb reciever is in the pics, no need to ever really take it out.

humm they really need to give the m15x a matte painjob.. looks like cheap plastic under the bright lights in the above pics.. chaz shots of it looked amazing.. but they where very controlled lighting conditions with nothing for it to reflect off ... and on the AW site 90% of the pics are 3d renders/photoshoped <_>

I really like the room as well :).

Oh and that's also the mouse currently in my Amazon cart, to order when I get a phase change from AW but at the moment it seems that because they are out of velvet bags they can't start building the unit.

Does the 4-4-4-12 RAM perform better than the stock?

    Nice pictures, thanks for sharing!

For the record I didn't take the pictures for the m15x review; I used to do all of the pictures for my reviews but in the last year or so we have someone to do that for us at the office. Not sure who it is but they do a great job indeed. :)

As far as I know the lower the latency the better.

Lower latency is better but I would not spend more money to get it. The Core 2 Duo is not very sensitive to changes in memory speed nor latency. Go with a reliable manufacturer and you're fine. Laptop memory is generally the same all around in my experience.

JB you take really nice photos :) You make this ugly laptop look so nice - please dont do that because in reality this laptop is ugly heavy cumbersome and most of the stuff are like cheap chinese car parts slammed inside this laptop.
