Looks like a scam to me, what does everyone else think?
-
-
does it even looked like a m17x to you? that's sentia.
-
I know it does, but it's listed as M17 and look at the specs! No Sentia was provided with those specs!
-
Oh nvm I see. It doesn't look like an M17x. Maybe he was too lazy to take pics and googled?
-
I say scam cus specs are shady and photos look random and some look like they are pulled off the internet in a google image search
-
-
Do you even need to ask?
I don't think there's any way that's legitimate.
What I find hysterical is that it appears that another scammer is the only person bidding on it. -
lists it as an "m17", but it's clearly not from the picture of the lid.
lists the processor as a core 2 extreme, but speed as 666MhZ???
Says it's "new, sealed in box", yet has it out of the box for pictures.
Has only very small, low-res pics of the back of the computer.
etc..., etc...
Too many things pointing to either his complete ignorance or fradulance to trust that auction. -
just look at his account name. that guy has been try to scam m15x also.
-
how can you even question its a scam
the m17x hasn't even been built yet and the first ones wont be off the production line until end of june/july -
yeah, and there's that -
Scam, duh.
-
wow, i won it.
just got an email from him and he said he would throw in a 1 year old m15x as well. -
I have no words to say to you DJ.
(except for *hint*sarcasm*hint*) -
I started this thread more as a warning
I also wasnt 100% sure if they've started making the M17x yet! Havent really followed up what's happening on that front!
-
we know you did simon and thanks for that.
-
I spoke to an ebay customer rep. He said they would look into the matter.
-
That looks like a uniwill Laptop from last Year.
-
lol. processor speed 666. it's an m5550.
-
actually what is he going ship anyway? I am curious.
-
-
-
If anyone falls for that, they deserve it.
They might ship the box and a mini model of the M17X.
-
Remember that time someone put an auction up and said, "You're bidding on this picture of a computer" instead of "You're bidding on the computer in this picture", and whoever wasn't reading carefully ended up paying a thousand bucks for a photograph of a computer? I hate Ebay.
Possible eBay M17x scams!
