hey, surfing around on the Sager and Clevo forum on my normal mornings of mischief. Stumbled onto this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=279024

If you look at thread #10 from Shyster1, it is regarding keyboard lag (the keyboard missing a letter if they are typed in fast).

I will be trying out the fix when i get home tonight, in the meantime if anyone is home infront of their m15x and tries it out please update us if it works or not!

haha, yeah I saw that, sometimes I am jumping the horse. On the other hand i read somewhere that it doesnt solve the problems while playing games only solves the issues in windows, is this true?

Yeah also, the patch that was supposed to allow the keyboard and touchpad to be used simultaneously- m15x_Touchpad_Vista_10.1.8.0_WHQL. Does not fix the problem when I try to..well..use both simultaneously!
    Anyone have a fix?

you could try reinstalling the patch because i am able to use touchpad and keyboard simulatenously. i dunno about playing game with the touchpad and keyboard at the same time tho so i guess i could try that. i only try touchpad cod 4 once but that was just for the expierence since i never played a game with a touchpad before.

It's not only during games, even when surfing online and regular usage I cannot use my touchpad at the same time i am typing..but that isn't noticeable if not gaming

What is noticeable is the 1-2 seconds after i stop typing i cannot use the touchpad..i reinstalled it twice to no avail

All, let me know if this solution helps any:

Navigate to your Mouse Properties > Device Settings > Sensitivity > Expand PalmCheck > lower the slider to middle

THANK YOU AW JAMES! I didn't realize it was the palm check messing up keyboard/touchpad simultaneous usage..
For all with the same problem: I tested it out and the breaking point is between the 4th and 5th bar on the slider. On the 4th, you can use both simultaneously, on the 5th, the touchpad stops working when the keyboard is being used (and for a second or two after).

Now to fix the lag problem....

So does the Palm Check adjustment fix the 'using keyboard & touchpad simultaneously' problem during gaming as well ?
I'm thinking yes but a confirmation would be nice :)

@OP - Looking forward to your testing the possible keyboard lag fix..

    so you mean:
you want to write AND move the curser via touchpad at the same time?
i dont see the sense in it but ok :D

and you can do it if you adjust it to the minumum? completely on the left side?

you set the value to 4 and you can move and type at the same time. maybe he wants to play cod 4 of css in class and if he uses a mouse the professor will catch him.

The minimum works too but the max is the 4th bar. It's not only to do it simultaneously, but I work fast so right after I type I find myself wanting to use the touchpad (like ..1 second later) and it lags the touchpad right after you use the keyboard. It's fine now though

Also useful when messing around on WoW and using your WSAD keys + clicking on spells

So, I'm just seeing the touchpad being discussed here. Was there an actual keyboard lag fix? If it was Shyster's post, has anyone actually tried it on an m15x and had some success? I type rather fast and this is becoming annoying for me.

From the beginning, typing in TF2 is the ONLY time i experience lag. It particularly sucks b/c I don't play with a mic.

Other than that, I haven't experienced any lag.

I type extremely fast so this is very noticeable for me. On my desktop, all is good. The only non-lag related problem is that sometimes I type so fast that when I hold shift to capitalize a letter the letter after it gets capitalized too because I hit it so fast that my finger is still on the shift button.

My typing feels suppressed now. (Note I had to fix suppressed twice)
