I don't visit any other forums on NR, only the Alienware one. This thread was more targeted towards Alienware users.

There is a dock that is part of the Xenomorph (XP only skin). However, I opperate Rocketdock on all of my computers because of its advanced features. You can check them out by googling rocketdock.

Does AlienGUIse cause a lot of problems?

nice halo god i had that same wallpaper a while ago .....

 

Alienguise has NEVER caused a problem for me. I love it! I like xenomorph the best as well as the WMP skins. Just wish more were available for Vista than currently are.

 

if i install AlienGUIse, and don't like it, how easy will it be to switch back to the normal Vista stuff?

Super easy since Alienguise has a vista loaded in it, so you can use alienguise to switch back.
Actually a pretty nice program created by a third party for Alienware. I LOVE xenomorph, just wish they had it, and the WMP skins for Vista.

 

I used Windows Blinds before, which is what AlienGUIse is based off, when I uninstalled it, a lot of my icons were screwed up.

 

ok, just found out the hard way that AlienGUIse is useless and buggy. i'm looking forward to an evening of restoring my system to a usable state. and yes that was sarcasm.

"looking forward to restoring my system" - that's the sarcasm. no sarcasm in calling AlienGUIse useless. stay away from that thing, it's evil. lots of things didn't get changed back when i tried to remove the theme, and the program failed to fully apply the theme in the first place - some things just went to a sort of black and white XP theme.

so the moral of the story is to stay away from AlienGUIse.

 

it worked great on XP not so much vista. i used alienmorf theme and yea it didnt change my system icons when i uninstalled
