After only a week of use the Flextronics power adapter has stopped working, the blue light will not come on, I had ordered a spare to keep in my bag, the one that died is Flextronics, the Spare is Delta and is working fine.

Just a heads up if you have one of the flex adapters you might want to get a spare?

Yep.. Power adapters aren't immune to crapping out early :) It's all under warranty though so If you don't need a spare then I wouldn't bother.

Dell sends replacement parts Next Day delivery so you shouldn't be out for more than a day or two...

My Flextronics is making weird noises, as if a bee or a fly was trapped inside whenever it's connected to the laptop. Did yours do the same before it died?

Never made any noise that I knew of? I only unplugged it from the system 2 times. It is probably just a rare failure?

The buzzing noise could possibly be a grounding issue on your outlet. Try plugging it into a differet wall outlet.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

    +1

mine was doing the same thing. I had it plugged into my APC UPS. Plugged it directly into the wall and no more buzzing sound.

Do they require you to send in the old one, if you request a new one?

Mine quit, not having it quite a month yet. Interestingly, my power adapter is a Delta.
