Just yesterday morning I had a problem when I turned my laptop on. It started to boot up like it normally does and froze at the Windows logon (Win7). I tried it again after removing a program that I had the night before installed (monitors gpu and stuff temps) and removing my usb connected devices. This time it worked like always.
Well today I went to start it up and had the same problem. So this time I only disconnected my external hard-drive and it started up just great.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it some sort of driver problem?
Thanks.

You mean the external drive? I do not believe that it is but next time I boot up I will use the esata/usb port and see what happens. -
Is the drive ok? Normally if you have a failing external USB device (hub, drive etc) It will cause the machine to hang while windows tries to communicate with it.

It seems to be working fine, but you do make a good point. I will buy a new exteral drive, as I needed a good excuse to get a terrabite sized one over this 300gig drive
Problem booting up my M17x.
