So yea, I couldn't see any of those signs for the OSD (on screen display) when I pressed my touch buttons (ie: volume, stealth mode etc..).

So I tried installing and it failed, so Joker suggested I try to uninstall the OSD, install a newer .net framework. Which I duly did. But no luck.

Everytime I try to install the latest OSD from the Dell site I get this message.

It was possible that it was being blocked by my Microsoft Security Essentials, but I have no idea where this file is located to put it on allow list.

    Thoughts?

Try running it as Administrator? I had a similar problem and found it to be, me running too many Installers at once but that isnt the case for you.

No luck, I uninstalled it, then ran as admin. Same message.

    1. Power down, remove AC Power cable and battery.
    2. Depress and hold power button for a 20 count.
    3. Insert battery and reconnect AC Power.
    4. Boot up.

See if that clears the missing OSD indicators.
