I have Intel Turbo Memory in my m15x with T9300 processor, VUltimate, 2GB ram and Seagate 200GB 7200RPM 16Mega Cache. In Turbo Memory console there is enabled Windows ReadyBoost but permamently disabled Windows ReadyDrive and I cannot enable this readydrive. I've tried to reinstall all system, ITM drivers, and still nothing. RaadyDrive is disabled. How about Your Alienware and ITM ??? Please help

technical support said that turbo runs in the background and the readydrive should be disabled.

Isn't ReadyDrive only for hybrid drives anyway? Wouldn't work with turbo memory then

hmm, so then I guess it should be on. I mean, I don't have the turbo memory GUI installed but I know that ReadyDrive has to be working (because my Vista's boot time is sped up, which I can tell because if I do a hard reboot where the turbo memory isn't allowed to cache things then it will go slower when starting it up)

That's true GRB. I have also Asus G1S with the same processor and chipset as mine m15x and the same hard drive - seagate 200 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache and turbo memory working propertly - Windows ReadyBoost - Enabled, Windows ReadyDrive - Enabled. The same drivers and system. But my m15x has disabled ReadyDrive. and I dont know how to fix this issue.

We have to try a few things first else there are reports of people having to re install Vista to get the TurboDrive working properly

    1. we have to enable AHCI and Robson in the BIOS.
    2. make sure you have 'Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller' in your Device Manager under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers'. If not, reinstall the Turbo Memory software. You should have both the Intel Matrix Software and the Turbo Memory software listed in all programs.
    3. Enable ReadyBoost and ReadyDrive in the 'Turbo Memory Console'. This might take a few boots for it to activate.

I was doing it from the beginning. still I have Windows ReadyDrive disabled in Intel Turbo Memory Console and I cannot change it. I can change Readyboost (disable / enable) myself but ReadyDrive not. its permamently disabled, so I think that my m15x has malfunction :(

ok then, update, just downloaded the driver for the turbo memory off the intel site. it installed and rebooted, 1st reboot it bluescreened, then 2nd attempt it worked. now got turbo memory and the matrix folders in all programs, and both readyboost and readydrive are enabled. so, maybe you all should download the drivers from the intel site. it says new drivers but i dont know what if any i had installed before.
