I recently realized that when I unplug the power cord from my m15x I drop around 15fps in my games. If I plug it back in I get my fps back. Is this normal? It cant be....are there any way I might be able to fix this?

Sort of. If you're on Vista, you can turn your power settings to High Performance.

If you're on XP, you can try disabling powermizer in your NVIDIA Control Panel.

if you want high performance on battery you need to disable power mizer in windows. you have to go directly to the registry to do that.

it is normal behavior for gaming laptops, in fact alot of laptops to downclock on battery.

you're right, and with the stock AW drivers, there's no way to disable this behavior AFAIK. that is, without diving into the registry :p

speaking of having your laptop plugged in is having your laptop pugged in for like 95% of its life bad for the battery? Or should i be constantly be draining and charging battery?

i would just take the battery out when you are not using it so you dont have to go through so many cycles and heat.

Since yours is plugged in 95% it would be smart to take it out while it is plugged in since you can slow down the time it takes for your battery to die. Batteries die with heat and time so by taking heat out you can slow down its inevitable death. Cycles are also based off 100%. Basically lets say you have 60% and you just decide to charge it up, then you used .4 of a cycle. So once you can add that up to 1.0 its 1 cycle. So if you take it out you minimize the amount of cycles being used and you dont have it get hot. It will just prevent your battery from dying faster. If you are not going to use your battery for the next month like me since i have no school its best to just leave it at 40% and just let it sit somewhere.
