I have an issue with my M9700, It suddenly froze on me and when I turned it off it just sounded like it continued to run and would not boot up. I took out the battery and let it sit for a while, when I put the batt. Back in it just ran without even pressing the power button. I took it down to my computer guy who said it could be an issue with the motherboard... The hard drive was still good. He made some calls and he reset the motherboard with a paper clip?? He thinks it may be a heat related issue..It does get really hot so he recommended a pad with the fans (Both on the laptop are working) But I was using it today and the same thing happened again... Before I bring it back to him I want to try the forum to see if anyone else had similar issues and what was their remedy Because Im not ready to give up on my unit yet.....I love my Alien!!
I had no problems in the 3 years Ive owned it until now....
