Problem with the M15x keyboard

Hi I am having a very strange problem.
The enter key on my keyboard is by default being mapped to the numpad's enter key and hence I am unable to play many games.
I tried remapping using sharp keys but the games are not detecting this remap. It takes the original values.
I tried reformatting but still the problem is not resolved.
I run the a01 bios.
THE GAMES that I tried include NFS Shift ,NFS under cover and crysis.
In crysis , I can use the mouse , so I went to controller options and tried to assing the enter key to some function, It detects that enter key as numpad enter key.
In the NFS series , due to this problem , i am unable to get past the "Press Enter screen" which i am unable to!
What should I do?
Help me guys, I just received this notebook 2 days back.

I've not come across this problem, but then I do most of my gaming using an external keyboard and mouse so I couldn't tell you if this is default behavior or not.

Have you tried calling up Technical Support? I hate to make that suggestion since so many other people have already reported that the technical support experience is less than optimal, but it's worth a try right? Nothing to lose.

 

Froogle, If you play NFS shift , just tell me if the same problem happens to you too!
Till now I have seen 2 people with the same problem.
Please do check if your able to play NFS using the internal keyboard's enter so if there is anything wrong with my keyboard, I can get a replacement.

 

just tested mine cant play nfs shift also without an external keyboard
just tested a few more other games cant play due to the enter key being recognized as the numeric enter key

 

My M15x has the same keyboard issue with the (only) enter key being the "keypad enter" instead of the standard "enter". I think this is a hardware bug. I have a support case with Dell open on this currently.
