    Hi

So whenever i open the command center on my m11x it does this wierd thing where everything is black until i put my mouse over a button - it then mysteriously appears. this makes the program very hard to use. i have downloaded the program install file from dell but when i run the install and press repair it asks for a CD. iv tried the alienware resource cd but it cant find the command center.msi file it needs...

Even more annoyingly, my aw resource cd is refusing to autorun giving an "Access is denied" error

is there any way to get around this??

Thought id add some pics - its hard to describe otherwise

Never install Command Center from the resource DVD. Always download the current version from Dell.

    Drivers & Downloads

As for the black screen, ensure your display driver is current - either use Dell's (see link above), or use NVIDIA's and update the Intel driver. This is covered in the 11x sub-forum. Reference the NV driver threads.

Just fixed it. I had tried reinstalling it but turns out the problem is it stuffs up when it tries to run using the gpu rather than the integrated graphics. I used the nvidia control panel to set the command center to run with integrated graphics by default and it's working like normal again :)

Hopefully this will help anyone that runs into this problem in the future so they dont waste time reinstalling it over and over
