    Hey you all, first off thanks for all the posted info, I have flashed the bios and its working much better now! (touch buttons)

    I bought this laptop new off of ebay, and its great except I really wanted the backlite keyboard. Anyone have any experience with... ordering one? Is it possible? Would it completely void the warrenty?

    Im assuming that the keyboard isnt too tough to replace.

    If not, whatever, great machine anyway! Except Im paranoid about the hinges and I treat them reeal nice.

    You don't have a warrenty if you got it off eBay

    Any alienware owner can get one or u can get one off eBay the guide to install it is on alienwares website

    See, I called alienware tech support, and told him I wasnt the original purchaser. He told me I just had to tell the original buyer to call alienware, and then I can get added to the 'account'?

    Also, I have access to 'the hive' and everything too.

    Well, you could always order one through AW... I'm pretty sure they sell them without a warranty.

    of course you can. you just have to take the stock keyboard out and swap in the illuminated keyboard.

    Did you buy it FROM Alienware on Ebay? They actually sell on Ebay too, or did you buy it from someone else?

    Yeah I hear yah on this, I need to get a M15X ADDITIONAL 6 CELL SMARTBAY BATTERY and since the laptop I have is a gift and I am set as the secondary owner all I can do is have warranty stuff done. Anyone care to order one for me?? I will shoot you some funds via paypal to cover the costs??
