    Ok, I stepped out of this group for a few months. I noticed that theM15x comes with a 9800GT vs the old 8800GTX. Is that just as good?

    It is exactly the same. 8800M GTX = 9800M GT

    Yes, the 8800m GTX and the 9800m GT are exactly the same. Welcome to nVidia's useless lineup refreshes that just end up confusing everyone.
