    Hello,

Does anyone know if the Q9200 will work in the M17x and to what extent it will be overclockable (3.06)?

    Cheers,

microcode is not there. BUT the m17 sees the q9200 microcode wise as a qx9300 and honeslty im not sure why... i was told directly from intel the q9200 is the " odd child out " meaning they may not even release it and it is EXACTLY the same chip as the qx9300 just with a lower multi. so it is very plausable it will work i have 2 q9200's on the way now just trying to get a straight answer about the qavr and qavs models. i am getting mixed things from my suppliers on those. tomm i will call my person at intel.

CPU-World doesn't list anything about a QAVR only QAVS and QAJF for the Q9200.

Any idea what stepping the QAJF sSpec is?

qajf is e0 without temp sensors..i am told the qavr and qavs are the best with the qavs being a newer build of the qavr. they are supposed to be the same thing im going to call tomm to find out what i can. but being these are unreleased i have to tread carefully with the guy at intel i know..
