is it me only or everybody ?
the volume control slider is very difficult to respond to my touch's.
    its almost non responsive.
also the T-PAD function button ,it doesn't turn off the touch pad.even when mouse is connected.(very irritating specially when playing).when i press it it said "ON" ,press again ,also "ON".

That's with everyone. I wont blame AW here for volume slider as they depend on WMI events for touch control, which is bit slow and not as instant as it should be. Although the actual volume level is changed but the UI react later, So I dont care much about it.

ahh the T-PAD, again flame goes to both. AW + Synaptic.

I have a fix if you care about the UI saying "ON" & "ON". I can fix it to show, ON & OFF and T-PAD light will go on/off but not the actual T-PAD

Try using two fingers instead of one to adjust the volume slider. I find it responds more better that way.

My volume slider is just fine for me. Touch pad automatically turns off when inserting my usb mouse. Maybe its because im using 32bit vista.

with the new CC, you can set the t-pad to automatically turn off when you plug in an external mouse. granted, you could already do that with the synaptics driver...

yeah, that's a setting in the synaptics driver. you can change this now with the new CC under "Touch".

if its a setting in the synaptics driver how come there's so many complaints? can't you just go into synaptics and adjust the settings.

I havent any problems with either...

my slider isnt the easiest to use, but it works and its not too bad.

my t-pad auto switches when I use my external mouse... ive only used the touchpad once or twice ever... it has always been auto and I never jacked with any settings.

I think these are personal settings and each system has it slightly different, based on what the technician used when he/she was setting up the laptop.

For example, my touchpad sensitivity was turned way up, resulting in great difficulties when typing. Most people never even experienced that problem as their setting was slightly different.

Same with this touchpad switching off when you plug a USB mouse in. It always did that for me, but apparently some users need to manually select that setting either in Synaptics drivers (which are tucked away in the Control Panel) or with the new Command Center.

Therefore you get people with the same system but without the same 'problems', which are really just some settings you can easily adjust. That's why I don't like Alienware Tech Support, because they'd rather make you take the thing apart with a screwdriver or update BIOS or something equally complex, while the solution could be basic as hell.
