    Hey Guys -

    Had a question regarding USB 3.0

    Question: When USB 3.0 comes out, is this going to be an upgradable software packet to download and install? Or is this with and only with the new platform coming out next year sometime?

    Question:If its not a upgradable option, my M17x is stuck with USB 2.0, right? Also, what am I going to be missing...comparing the USB 2.0 to USB 3.0?

    yeah it will be a h/w based improvement, sorry....right now, probably not much, since devices have to be built to take advantage of USB 3.0, just as they did when USB 2.0 was implemented. Personally, I'm not gonna worry about it, since by that time, I'll probably be looking into a new laptop.

    The m17x does have an expansion slot, so if there is a must-have device that needs or really rocks with USB 3.0, someone is probably gonna release card you can buy....

    Thanks guys... I just had to find out... The USB thing doesnt worry me at all... since this is basically for gaming, and since M17x is GPU upgradable in the future, im set...
