I remember from my old job, we had some type of EPP thing going with Dell. I think it was 10% off. (new comp. I work for is Michael Baker corp or Baker energy. Old company is Superior Energy,/ Production management)

#1. How can i find out the coupon (can I search by name of company) and can this be used on Alienware?

#2. Old company had 10% off I will call my new company later to see if they offer it but has anyone used one that goes over 10% ? Maybe different companies get better deals?

I found a random epp code that seems like I can get $175.00 off not much from a 3,600 laptop but better than nothing.

Well there is the whole issue of whether or not you actually, you know, work for a company with an EPP program... one option is to open a Dell Preferred Account... I think some of the folks got like 2% off with just that alone.

If you choose to pay with your own credit card, Dell will offer you 3% to use there dell credit.

If you choose Dell credit first, then you will not get a 3% offer. You have to act like you want to pay with another card and then they will offer.

This just goes to show that these "reps" really don't know what's going on. The 10% off I usually get has been extended to March 1, 2010 and there is no mention of packages, I can custom config it the way I want it. With my discount I can get the same system I ordered last week with a second 320GB drive for just $4.00 more. Time to cancel and reorder yet again...

Some people say yes, some say no. For me, no. By the time I purchase my M17x I didn't even need to tell I'm eligible for any program. I just asked the rep what he can offer and he said 12%.

I don't think ID really matters. The rep will want to sell you the unit after all and they don't bother if you are a member of whatever org or not.

For some reason when I click on the epp part of the site the I7 M17x option is'nt even offered. The only ones that come up are the Core 2 Duo options and the quad core one. Also if im trying to use the EPP program would it be best to order the system over the phone or on the website?

Call them. It's the easiest way. If you get somone saying they can't do it, because it's not on the website, call back and get a differant rep. I always wondered why reps can't do something because it's not on the website. Always irritated me, heck I can surf the web too, where do I put in an application???

Click on the quad core option. When the next screen loads you will be able to select between Core 7 systems and Core 2 systems. Click Core 7 and you're in.

Call! You will always get a at least as good deal as you order on web plus additional discount when you haggle with the rep.
