Hi guys My name is nick. I just got my M17 notebook not too long ago.
I have the 2.26 core2 duo and was looking to over clock it. I have oced before and know what to watch for and i know laptops are very sensitive to heat. I noticed the bios does not have these options for over clocking. I was wondering if there was a way to unlock them or if there is a diff version out there that will allow me to do this.
Thank for any help/info you can give me. I am always learning

you can only have the options with a extreme chip. the x9100 or the qx9300 no others will give you those options

Nope. Even with the Whitebook BIOS you can only OC Extreme CPUs. The only way for you to OC right now is by OCing the FSB.

Don't know what your budget looks like, but the X9100 is pretty inexpensive on Ebay. The QX9300 is getting there too.
