Hey guys i was wondering,, i have the m9750 with 2 gigs of RAM and the dual 7950GTX, it says that the 7950GTX is sharing 512 mb with Ram, and Vista on startup is running on 486 mb. so i'm basically left with a gig only?... i notice some Ram issues in games sometimes like late items loading while playing, could that be the reason?

thats normal, for vista i can idle at 580mb and my cards says it can use up to 2500mb of memory lol, get 4 gb for best results...what game are you playing? if its a mmorpg, see how much ram ur using during big levels, if you ever use it all up, then you need more ram, thats why i slapped in 4gb

in Crysis, some times when i get close to trees,Grass< and shadows they change, for example a big tree, when i come close to it, its, leaves, shadows, shape change and thats annoying, is that due to RAM? cause other m9750 users dont experience those issues under XP.

@Halogod - it is actually a mistake for him to buy 4GB of ram. With the M9750, there is a limitation. That limitation is that it can only see 3.5GB of ram TOTAL, which including the video ram.

There is no way around this limitation, so the maximum amount of ram that you can use for your M9750 is 3.5GB or (1) 2GB Stick (1) 512GB Stick + (2) 7950GTX 512mb, since that = 3.5GB

i'm getting the 4 gigs, just to be the same speed, 2.5Gb of ram is very different from 2.5gb since VIsta already takes from m3 487mb... it will be an improvment, and hell! its very cheap! and guess what? i'm in CA!

umm. 2.5GB I think is the same as 2.5GB. You're not going to get any more improvement by buying 2x2GB over (1) 2048 and (1) 512mb I believe.

There is a small benefit from running identical RAM chips, but it is negligible.

I run my m9750 with one 2GB stick and one 512 MB stick, and it works fine
