    Im looking to upgrade my
4 gig 1033 memory ram to 6 gig 1033 memory ram from outside source.

anyone have a good idea which brand builds quality memory ram for laptop such as m17x? Also hum pricing does matter, but ill consider all options of the ram brands.

as far as i know war, they do not offer 3Gb sticks. only 2 and 4.
you only have 2 slots in the unit for memory. it is not like a desktop.

second...please limit the threads you create. you could have asked these questions in the M17x owners lounge.

    thanks.... :)

The only option you have to go to 6GB is to change one of your 2GB sticks with a 4GB sticks. 4GB sticks cost hundreds of dollars each, and I'm not joking-easily $300 or more (I'm not entirely certain myself). You really don't need any more than 4GB, no programs will actually use any more than that right now, so unless you're going to do any extreme multitasking then you honestly should just wait until it comes down in price and programs will make good use of it.
