Hey everyone i dont know if this was asked already and i could have used the search option but for some reason at work here it wont work.

I just purchased 2 days ago a new Alienware M15x Laptop and here are the specs.

    Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
    4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz 2 x 2048MB
    15.6-inch Wide FHD 1920x1080 (1080p) WLED
    512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
    320GB SATAII 7,200RPM
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
    Slot-Loading Dual Layer Blu-ray Reader (BR-ROM, DVD+-RW, CD-RW)

the basic specs atleast...i only have about $2000 to spend to i got the lowest end i7 processor and went and got the 1333mhz RAM well because it sounded pretty.

i however didnt get the 1gb graphics card the GeForce GT260M.
so my question is how well is my new laptop gonna run World of Warcraft? I'm currently on a Dell XPS1530 running at 30fps with medium to lowest settings. I want them at high to ultra and hope to be around 50fps. But obviously if i botched it and thats not possible OH WELL.

Just wondering if anyone has the M15x with similar stats and the 240m graphics and wondering how they run World of Warcraft. Thanks everyone

It should run WOW very well still. As far as I know the 240M is still decent. WOW doesn't really push like Crysis! So it should be sweet!

just don't expect to put on high/ultra settings at 1920x1080 during 25 man raids.

5 mans should be fine at any settings.

but yes should run pretty sweet.

Should run well. The thing with WoW is that it's far more CPU dependant than GPU dependant now, because it's an old engine.

You'll probably regret not getting the 260M later down the line though. It is massively more powerful than the 240M.

(To give you an idea, the 240M is the same sort of power, or possibly even weaker, than the 335M that's in the new M11x)
