Is it just me, or did the price of the m11x go up $300-ish? I recall seeing it priced at $760something before, and now it's priced at $1,188...?
Did I miss a memo or something?![]()

just looked on both the UK and US website and they are £/$749 respectively. Are you adding upgrades to get that price?
-
Sure you didn't check the base model on the EPP site? EPP comes with all the upgrades. Base price on the dell site is still $799.

Gah! I'm sorry, it seems that I was looking at a differnt site from the main one or something...
On a semi-related note, does anyone know if this particular config can be customized, or is it a predetermined setup only? :
P.S - This is a site for some member purchase program where you can get various discount depended on what you qualify for (soldier, student, federal employee, etc...)
Thanks very much! Sorry for the confusion! -
Yea, thats the EPP site, check the link in my sig. for more details. Lots of good advice there learned through my experiences. Also, you can configure an M11X on the regular site and have them apply the 10% Student discount to that config. Your not limited to whats on the EPP site. It's all in the original post (post1) of the link in the sig.
Hope it helps.

Awesome! That's wonderful new for cheap s like me that are short on cash!

And of course free expedited shipping can be had. -

Get ready for many sleepless nights reading that thread -

Exactly. If you go through regular EPP side, select SU7300 CPU, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD, you'll get to I believe $1099, without any discount included. So it will be only $30 more. The difference? Super Ultra Amazing 15 month McAfee subscriptions, valued at $85.
So it's effectively $30 discount on a $1099 model -- to be precise it's 2.7% discount. "Wow"... -
Yeah but if you select the SSD you get roughly $150 discount... -
Good point, SSD is cheaper on EPP site, but on mine it's only $60 cheaper.

Heres what you do.
1. Build the system you want on the regular site.
2. e-mail the cart to yourself. (use the e-mail cart option from the cart screen)
3. call an epp rep and tell him you have a cart made already.
4. from the e-mail you sent yourself, copy and paste the link in an e-mail to the rep.
5. rep will convert it to epp and apply discounts, coupons, etc. On mine, the rep had to use the 500GB hdd, so he comp'd it (didn't charge me the difference, i wanted a 250gb).
If the rep gives you any nonsense about not being able to use your cart, find a new rep. My rep did it, gave me NO HASSLE about it. It was the easiest transaction I've ever had with Dell, and one of the easier transactions I've had in general. If it wasn't for the loooong build time I would have possibly even completely changed my opinion and outlook on dell, however the crazy build times have shown me its still the same old dell. -
coupons and the few extra dollars the sales associate shaved off. -
I just took the base model, made some upgrades, had them take 10% for EPP off, and negotiated. Finaly price was $850 for my M11X when it was all said and done. Which is why I go through EPP. And working with the same rep in a few weeks for the M17X

Seriously, follow the steps that I posted, thats basically what DR650SE from what it sounds like and no issues with that order either.
