How much better is the 6990m compare to the Nvidia 485m is in your opinion?

    Thanks

We have no definitive evidence yet, but people will speculate I am sure.

The 6990M was released only 2 days ago (7/12/11), so I'm pretty sure no one has the card yet.

Oh well at least I try. People on Sager thread told me to ask Alienware owners By when will you guys be receiving the 6990m? Anytime soon I hope? I need to know how much better it is to help me decided whether I should wait a month or buy now and get the 485m (btw I'm buying a Sager). Ugh Decision, Decision

the 485 is a great card, but I am thinking the 6990m should be significantly better...

Not according to game benchmark it isn't, in fact Starcraft II ran better on the 485m than the 6990m.

Even the 485m did better than the 580m but it was only 2 game sample.

How do you justify the wait unless you already have other gaming machine to play it on. As for me I don't have any other game machine so it very tough to wait.

SORRY my grammar is really off today.

Has a lot to do with the cost/performance, reliability, upgradability, and it non-gaming look.

I was initially looking at the MSI GT780R which in my opinion is the coolest looking gaming laptop, but in term of performance, Sager gave me more for less money.
