I am now reaching boiling point over the lack of information the general public get from Alienware and I realise that a few of the representatives of the company are on these forums. I am someone who works in a retail environment, often selling equipment from £2000 - £20000 on a daily basis and with technology in HiFi and AV moving so quick I like nothing more to stay on top of the information so that I can advise my customers on the right choice when spending the type of money they want. Correct me if i am wrong but i kind of expect Alienware to have a degree of knowledge as to their product, at the end of the day I am now more than willing to look at purchasing a Clevo m860TU because there is no information from ANYONE at Alienware with regards to their future products. Am I the only one with this opinion.

The next AlienNetwork is all about customer service so I thought It right that I share my views as even on the Website it seems I am not expected to ask questions as England is not on the list of Countries i can select when asking a question. I want the lack of communication to change drastically and if someone from Alienware, who is maybe pretty senior can step outside the box a little and help us with a few questions then I want to ask them here.

The first is WHEN can we expect to see the Alienware launched in the UK, approximate dates....tentative "possibly" by the end of May doesnt quite cut it for me because they are already released in the US so WHY the delay? Atleast share that with us or again I guess it is against company policy.

the second is will the m17x EVER have montevina or is another laptop in the lineup going to have that as the m17x will now be pretty out dated in terms of platform and yet the price is still very high. I know that when new tech is released in my industry, old tech we need to sell cheaper.

third is what happened to the gloss skullcaps we saw at the show?? When can we expect to see them?

last but not least is there overclocking going to be available in the x9000 m17x?

I am sorry for the ramble everyone but i'm hoping i'm not the only one in this position and there are others who feel the same. I have purchased 2 systems from Alienware over the past 6 years and I have never had them be as unhelpful as they have been to me over the past few months.

    PS Rant over and sorry.

you're not the only one. I would seriously consider buying a system were not for the horror stories and lack of feedback from AW.

No offence to any AW forum reps reading this, but you guys really need people from your product/design groups on here so they can tell us what is being done to try and fix the problems.

yeah i gotta be honest...i really want the m15x but with all the horrible stories and faults with it i don't see how i can especially since i need it to last for at least 4 years. And when i confronted aw about all the problems with the m15x and what would happen if i got a lemon and wanted to return or repair it, all they said was: we can assure you that all the problems have been fixed. and we all know they haven't becuz people r still receiving their laptops and they still have problems.

Yeah That. Glad somebody else feels the same way.

This lack of correspondence is why my refund is on it's way back to me.

Good Luck AW!!! Your losing customers left right and center, and you guys still refuse do comment on anything. Are you guys really that Arrogant, or do PAID customers mean nothing to you?

Oh and TMRL I would bet you hear nothing in response to your questions. You might get the same speach we always get, but that will be about it.

you would think that large companies/growing ones would learn from the mistakes of others or atleast learn from their own mistakes. alas they will just end up sinking themselves.

His emailed worked last week. I never got a reply, but I never got the bounce back either.

AW aren't going to give us anything, in fear that we start a mass cancelation or refund. They are trying to keep a lid on things as tight as possible.

    Regular CS
    Critical Issues CS
    Roswell CS

No one has ever returned an email or statement regarding the current issues. Am I detecting a pattern here. I'm telling you AW are just wishing we would all go away, before we capsize the boat and spill the beans. If the media really wanted a story they would have one here in the M15flop.

I emailed Steve twice because he said that he wanted to help me out. Turns out he just ignored me and ignored other users then finally came back.

@Daedric + Crystak : Steve was good when he needed to be in my opinion. Back in the day here (around a year ago), I posted all of my problems that I was having with my M5550 and expressed my disappointment.

AW Steve contacted me by PM and told me he wanted to help me out (I still have the PM's). I told him that I would email the info to his email address and he said that was fine (have the PM). I sent my info to him twice (I thought maybe the first time it didn't go through or something) and he just left me in the dust, and never responded (I have both of my sent emails).

Another user did the same exact thing as I did and he was giving the cold shoulder just as I was. When Steve came to the forums (because of the M15x), he seemed like he wanted to help. However, when the other user and I called him out on his lack of response, he called out the other user saying that they never contacted him. The other user had the email he sent Steve.

    --------

Personally I think Steve was just all show as he never really helped until there was an actual problem on one of their laptops that they were getting bad media from.

    --Just my opinion
---Please don't give me infraction for trolling. I believe that this post is constructive, and isn't considered trolling at all...

i actually had a CS tell me no new laptops will be coming out till 2009 after the m15/17x, i know for sure they will come out with another lappy soon because of the m15x issues. Im just so shocked at how they address the issues by keeping shut and giving out very blunt explanations. the m15x doesntr work.....AW CS: ok sir, we are sorry and are working on it, enjoy!, thats what i always see

I still can't believe that none of the magazines or other techs sites will post any o fthis information regarding the M15x. It really really makes you wonder who these sites and magazines really cater to.

Glad I am awaiting my REFUND... :)
