i have just recently placed an order for m15x........and i just only order 1 GB, and i have ordered 4GB from Newegg, but i saw another post that Window Vista doesnt support 4GB in 32bit , mine is Vista Premium, how do i know if my laptop supports 4GB or not/........!!!!!!!!Thanks

32-bit never supports all 4 GB. Guide in sig.

Hi ivants,
Windows Vista will only support around 3GB. However, it will show 4GB if you install service pack 1. You did make a good decision by purchasing 4GB, because the memory has to be installed in identical pairs to get dual channel to work. If you had installed one 1 GB stick and one 2gb stick, even though it would be the right amount, it would only slow the computer down. The computer would switch to single channel.
Hope this helps,

Vista Premium is 32 bit? and ultimate is 64bit?
-
Vista Premium only comes in 32 bit. Vista ultimate includes both the 32 bit and 64 bit cds. However, most programs aren't quite compatible with 64 bit. You might end up hurting your compatibility by switching to 64 bit

if i play game.........window will use 3GB or 4 GB if i am using Vista Premium? i am little confused about 32bit or 64bit.....which one will use 4GB?

Read the guide.

Hi,
Vista premium will use 3GB of memory with or without the game. The 64 bit version will use the whole 4GB. It's really a trade off.......what good is more memory if you can't find a whole lot to use it??? Currently, most programs run better in 32 bit. I would suggest sticking with your premium copy unless you have an application or game that demands a full 4GB.
