Anybody know if there is a difference in production/shipping time between the various vendors that sell the Alienware? If I order today would I get the laptop quicker from say Dell as opposed to Powernotebooks or XoticPC? Appreciate any responses.

My experience relates sole with international shipping (from USA to XXX). Searched through the major resellers, including xoticpc, gentech, pnb, and dell retail. None of them would ship international and accept an international CC.

The only reseller willing to ship international and accept international payment was Hidevolution. Prices across the board are fairly homogeneous, although i believe PNB might be a few tens of dollars cheaper.

But Hidevolution was very very quick. Item was shipped out on a Thursday late afternoon from their warehouse, arrived at my doorstep in Singapore on a Sunday morning. Less than 3 days without a hitch.

For the fuss free convenience, they get a thumbs up in my book!

is it cheaper to get from them then the Singapore website? And also did you pay GST when you received it?

Dell Singapore does not carry the M18x. the M17x similarly specced costs $4500+, and that's with only 1 7970m.

So the M18x is still by and large the better deal. Yes, you do pay GST on the listed price by the vendor (depends on what list price they declare).

The absolute fastest option would be to buy a premade form somewhere or form the Dell outlet, second fastest is order from Dell but select no nameplate because that in itself can take up to a week to do. Or you can ask them to send the nameplate to you later on (if you can talk a sales rep into doing that, most won't but some will).
