Hello everyone, ive had my razer orchi for a while now and i always use it in wired mode just fine, but today i tried to use it in wireless mode and its not working ! ive followed all the instructions of holding side buttons for 5 seconds and the bluetooth finds it and it configures it in the bluetooth window. So it appears to be all installed correctly but it just doesnt work when you move the mouse. It used to work on my old laptop fine but now im trying it on my m14x nothing works in wireless.

ive got all the software installed, all up to date.. even did a firmware update to try fix it but had no effect. so now i have no idea what to do lol

    any help please.

As i said above mouse works fine in all respects apart from it wont work in wireless

    thanks

Dumb, question...have you rebooted the system? Some times for me with certain things to take Windows needs to be restarted.

    Howdy Paddon,
I am using this mouse in wireless mode on my MX17R4 as I type this. Here is another dumb question, have you checked your batteries? When the battery gets low on my mouse, it tends to shut off rather quickly. Good luck!

Once in a great while my Orochi does this when connected by Bluetooth and I have to delete it and reinstall it. I seldom use mine in wired mode. I bought it specifically because it is wireless Bluetooth because I hate wires and radio dongles.

Have you tried installing the Orochi software and checked for a firmware update? I've owned my Orochi for a long time and there was a firmware update a while back.

Edit: I also just remembered that if I connect my Orochi to one computer by Bluetooth getting it to reconnect by Bluetooth on a different system is always kind of a pain in the tush. When I only use it on one system it seldom has issues. I think there is something that the mouse tries to remember about the previous system that causes some minor hiccups when you connect it to a different one. Same is true for my Bluetooth headset... connects perfectly every time until I pair it with another computer, my Blackberry or Android phone, then I have to fuss with it a bit to get it working correctly again on my M18x.

I have always had an issue with my orochi after the first reinstall of windows on my m17x. It wouldn't pair correctly for the longest time till I got a mobo replacement and then it worked fine again. not sure why it does that though. :(

I had this issue after I reinstalled windows, just grab a friends laptop, pair it with theirs, then repair it with your PC

No and I've treated mine quite badly over 2 years.

I've been using a Razer Orochi for probably 3 years with BlueTooth and I have experienced zero problems with it. I don't use the cable all that often... only when the batteries go dead and I don't have a charged pair ready to drop in. But, the cable has no signs of fraying at all after several years. If it were a larger mouse it would be my favorite. It's a little bit too small to fit my hands well. I prefer my G700 better only because of its size. The Orochi has been dropped hard on concrete and tile floors numerous times, having the cover and batteries splattered in different directions more times than I can count. It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' LOL.

The Orochi's BlueTooth connection has never been problematic on any machine unless the BlueTooth module itself had issues with stupid behavior (like Windows 8 making BlueTooth go to sleep and not wake up again, etc.) that the mouse can't be faulted for. The older Dell BT modules were sometimes a little buggy, but that was a software issue that BlueSoliel took care of for me. I had to stop using it only because Windows 8.1 Update 1 introduced an incompatibility with BlueSoliel, but still use it with Windows 7.

It's my backup mouse now but it was a worthy investment :)
