Don't know about any of you guys, but recently I got the new razer mamba mouse.... now everytime I 'increase DPI stage' on the mouse, it changes my battery setting from charging to 'not charging' of which a brief splash icon of the battery being disabled appears on screen..

Do you guys have such problem? very strange that a mouse application could interfere with the battery management on the m17x....

not really, it pops up on mine only once in a blue moon, and it doesnt even actually alter the status of my battery.

I got the same problem, also if I disconnect the mouse it takes forever to recognize again, I can right click and get menu but mouse movement will not happen for like 2-3 minutes.
I love the look and feel of the mouse, but might change to something more stable.

Yes 1.08 firmware and 1.05 drivers. even if I switch and have the mouse corded it still will not move for about 2-3minutes. It really pisses me off lol.

latest firmware + driver as well..... the firmware was already a pain when tried updating the docking station's firmware

got a few other problems as well, the mamba configurator keeps shutting down saying that it was unable to communicate with the mouse itself.... the on-the-fly-sensitivity doesn't even work properly

I'm considering a trade at the moment, getting a friend of mine to buy the Lachesis and trading it with my mamba.... i know i'm losing a bit of money here...but... looks like it's the end of the road with the mamba and the m17x

I ordered the Orochi about 2 weeks ago from Amazon (backordered) so maybe it will work better? Based on Chaz's review I think it will?

My Mamba will go on Ebay most likely.

Yup, had exactly the same. Being as I never need to change the DPI on the fly, I just re-assigned those buttons to do nothing.

Mine does the same thing, but something even more actually. I get the "Battery Enabled/Disabled" thing as well as it wanting to enable my 9400 chip and brings up the 'you must restart to do that' window. It will also enable/disable my touchpad but it doesn't actually do so. The graphics seems to be the only one actually wanting to do what it should like when the F7 key is hit.

Has anyone brought this up with Alienware? Maybe they could tweak something to prevent the Mamba from messing with the F-key functions?

My DeathAdder never did this, though I never messed with the DPI since 1000 was just fine for me (I have the old 1800 Mac version).
