So I had an issue with Windows Update, and one member suggested that I insert my Vista CD and update through it (which obviously didn't work, I now want to roast that member's head on a stick).

The problem isn't that I lost all my files (hell I had what, FireFox and Far Cry 2?). But that my Alienrespawn v2.0 disc does nothing, and I lost every little thing that came with my M17x.

Now I know I can reset it via the M17x Resource Disc, but is there anything else I can do that may be faster or better?

edit: Can I get it back to factory settings? That's what I really want. I know I can reinstall everything via the CD but then they won't be back 100% the way they were.

edit2: so I found out that the Alienrespawn disc should do everything, problem being I can't use it. I don't get the option to press F10 anymore :(

edit3: Okay after some patience my Alienrespawn disc worked.
