Please help I spent over 6 hours on the phone with Dell customer service, tech service etc.. trying to figure out why, when we upgraded to Windows 7 my - Alienware M17 alien fusion slowly eats up my physical memory and then inevitably crashes my computer..
Dells solution
1) my hard drive is bad, so they are sending me a new one.
2) My bios is bad (4 hours later) someone logged onto my CP and installed a new bios
3) Windows 7 must have installed improperly, and I should uninstall, and reinstall it.
4)It seems you have a problem that we are not able to fix at this time (thanks!!! Now I will just enjoy this $3000 paper weight )![]()
None of the above has helped, the only way to prevent the cp from maxing its memory out and crashing is to manually turn off the Alianware Fusion /command center every time I start up. I am not great with computers and am unsure if there is a way to just uninstall this function? And or what the repercussions of such an act would be
I asked Dell if they would just BUY the flipping thing back, and sell me something else to which I got this response.. you were given a 21 day satisfaction period, after that date it is not our problem if you are not happy with your purchase. I interjected that I was invoiced for my computer 17 days before I received it which gave me barley 4 days to get going.. and well REALLY??? A $3000 laptop that does not work and all I can get (from a Cust Srvc rep in India) is a go pound sand speech sigh is there any good news? Or should I just use this lap top as target practice

there are some people who should not work in Customer services sadly they does
you where damn unlucky i think everyone on this forum eard about the issue (btw it's a m17 you have the m17 don't have alienfusion)
same thing happen with the old alienware people have horror stories to share about them you just have to be lucky when you get on the line
on my side the only time i called them i got uberrfast and efficient service -

I don't call CS unless I need parts replacement or return etc...
For technical issue it's much easier to ask here. Quick and correct answer. Friendly attitudes and no hang-up.
Really?
