Really bad customer care operatives (ill informed and rude)

So my brother wanted an aw15 with 980m after seeing mine .... i called to place an order , i told to swap the 180 watt for 240 watt adapter , he went on an anger rant about how it won't affect performance and all and refused to do so .... Really pissed with the his tone of talk (even though i pointed him to the support article on dell's own site, and notebookreview threads) @Alienware-L_Porras Really changed my mood to go for a different laptop

TBH I believe AW golden days are OVER!
Now they have one goal in mind : sell as much BGA crap as you can, supplied with a weak PSU and all is well.
I believe I'll keep my R4 with the 980M for longer
Did you post @ AW forums?

    Good luck.

My experience with dell reps are mostly good, but this is a bit silly on the rep's part. You were going to make a purchase of 1500+ dollars computer and he refused to upgrade the psu from 180w to 240w for free? That's a difference of a maximum 20 dollars.

    Pathetic.

Simply hang up, call another rep. They are trying to be the one to make the sell, if they can't help you with your simple request, your best bet is to try a different rep and give them the sell. I've mostly had good experience with them, but when I needed help with a thermal throttle on my m14xr2 under warranty, it took two reps to get it fixed.

S.O.P. with these guys, or any electronics support.

    Hang up, call another rep.

Sometimes the third rep is the charm. This is especially true if you have the "basic" phone support instead of the $100 upgraded support option.

Dell is like a broken clock. At least it is right twice a day. :-/

    Hang up, call another rep.
