Well, I received my m15x today and i have to say that it works like a charm![]()
x30 bios is still on it, so I'll check if it underclocks or not.
But I really love this machine![]()
The strange thing is, I do not have any screen wobbling and it really seems to be solid. The machine weighs a bit and I hoped the adapter would be a little bit smaller but I really like the machine![]()
P.S. I'm really happy I took the 1920 screen. The fonts are not too small and it is matte![]()

Congratulations, Milio, on your m15x. I recommend flashing the notebook to the X32 BIOS so you won't have any downclocking problems at all:

Great choice on the screen - WUXGA is an amazing resolution. So much space. -
any chance that they use different screens for the different resolutions that would make one have less screen wobble. Id pay 285 for no screen wobble. Congrats on your new laptop. Still not sure if i should get one.
-
the type of screen wouldn't affect screen wobble, the hinge does, but to my knowledge any small differences in weight wouldn't make any noticeable difference (if there are weight differences)
-
i doubt the 1920 screen wont wobble because they should attach the screens the same way. the lcd wont wobble if the hinges were just a bit tighter. the lcd doesnt move unless you move the laptop you are in a car and the road is kind of bumpy. most of the time you are probably using this laptop on a desk so its not a big problem...at least not for me.
-
can you just tighten the screws holding the screen on to stop the wobble. Or is it the entire hinge thats made of cheap plastic?
-
just tried to log in to my hive from your link Chaz but it wouldnt let me. then i noticed it was the american site so i went to the european my hive and logged in,and guess what.... no bios updates at all??? -

Yeah, personally I don't understand where this cheap plastic thing is coming from. I mean, it is a matter of personal choice, but I wouldn't be inclined to call it a cheap plastic, unless glossy plastic = cheap plastic which is very true in several situations (but I don't think that's true here)

Personally speaking I really love this machine
I love everything, from playing crysis to just using it for simple things as word because of the big screen. It has a lot of options and I'm really glad I chose this laptop.
I have to say though that if I look at these forums there are a lot of people with problems, and I really hope I will not get these. Anyway: I love this laptop.
Plastic doesn't seem to be bad quality. Just don't take (when it comes out) the black version as I can see my fingerprints on the black area ( which surrounds the screen).
Tomorrow I will put some pictures online
Received my m15x!!
