Rocket Dock is another freebie http://rocketdock.com/, but honestly, I've never been able to figure out the point of using those docks. Between the quick launch and the vista start menu search I have access to everything I need pretty much instantly anyway.

You are right freeman. Its like all those useless fancy things that you never need in Windows atleast. Yes you can live without them but them make your life little fancy and add a 'whats that' factor to it. :p

Just like AlienFX, you can live without it but you prefer having it to look cool and attract attention.

Yes, I definitely agree with you. That's why I'm using Aero even though I know I could get a little more performance without it. Same with the AlienFX. But the dock, it would just get in the way of my usual work pattern. I mean, what could be simpler then hitting the Win key and type 3 letters for windows to instantly suggest exactly what I'm looking for. Then just hit enter and the app fires up. I guess it's just a matter of what you're used to working with.
