Well i am so fed up with my Studdering. When i first got this bad boy i had 0 issues with gamming, or music. (Other then bad HD) After that it was butter. Then i upgraded all the drivers, then i started having issues. Windows 7 has make it A LOT worse. Last night i was playing Dawn of War Soulstorm, it was audio studdering, and video studdering also. Drives me MAD. So that was the last straw. I can't wait for a dang update, loosing my patients. Also how much Windows 7 SUCKS at gamming. My other friend with a old Alienware p4, and 7600GT (I think) Beat me in loading DOW its embarrassing. With Vista i know the Time was less loading.

    Tomarrow i am going to:

Reformat: Back to Vista only have Home edition though.
Choose the drivers i want (Can you guys help me with this?) So far
Nvidia: 186.82 drivers (Heard its the best)
Nvidia: Need to update Sli profile (Never done that before)
Put Dell A00 Bios back on, (How do i do this again with a fresh install?) Or it won't work/fix issue.
Just the standard sound, Network drivers.
Reinstall drivers with new OS Nvidia first, then dell drivers.
Disable 9400 and Hybird graphics after Nvidia drivers are installed.

Any other drivers or general suggestings?

    Thanks

    Hi dude

You are saying that win7 sucks at gaming because your loading time was slower? wow. Hard facts. I know you are annoyed by the studdering and stuff, but you can't say the gaming performance is bad because of loading times on games

I'd suggest you download and perform the A00 restoration BEFORE formatting the hdd.

Also, I found that un-RAIDing the hdd's helped my stuttering on Win7 quite a bit. I still ended up going back to Vista, as I had the same loading times issue you did (though my drives weren't RAIDed so I figured it'd get that way) and I also had occasional computer "pauses".

I'm now back onto Vista and quite happy. I do hear stuttering occasionally, but it's not as bad as Win7. Plus I re-RAIDed my drives so speed's back. I downloaded all the drivers from BatBoy's blog and installed them in the order he suggested. For video drivers, I chose 186.64

I noticed that the RAID is causing it also, its so wired. The "pauses" During gaming are getting really bad. (Like 2-3 seconds) every Min or so. I can't belive i am saying this but i miss Vista had no issues until i updated my drivers and installed Windows 7. Well i am about to reformat, just need to print BatBoy's blog (Need to find it) and backup a little more. Last thing is remember how to do the BIOS its been soooo long since i have had to downgrade/Fresh install the bios. (Acually never have had to).
