    Reformatting M15X

    Does anyone know the proper way to reformat and Alienware M15x.....my friend tried to reformat and in the process deleted my recovery partition and i have the Alienware Boot DVD and the Alienware Resource DVD but im not sure how i can reformat it to the factory settings since he deleted the recovery partition. Is there any way??

    just go ahead and install windows like you normally would, i don't see any added value in using the restore cd.
    Install windows + drivers and you're good to go.
    if you want to change the login screen to AW - not a problem too.. avatars are available also, so you should be good.
    if your recovery partitions are gone you won't be able to use the restore cd imho.

    Sorry if your sure its deleted then you will have to start from scratch. Use your win7 dvd to install windows then download drivers from dell site. If you need help with it let me know.
