    Hey guys, sorry..more questions. Well would it be a good idea to grab an alienware m17x or m15x refurbished? or is the quality lacking..? components used? bad supplies? I really would like any information because on the basis of refurbished laptops i have NO experience and i would love to learn because i have found some amazing deals.

    Before looking to purchase a refurb'ed Alienware, be aware that they do not transfer warranties from owner to owner. In other words, you will NOT have coverage under warranty even if it's only a day old. Of course, Alienware does dell refurb'ed laptops, but they are their older models that they just want to get rid of.

    same site, just look at the m15x...its 100$ more than base price on alienware.com
    but comes with enough specs to make it 2500+
    How the hell does this guy sell these laptops for so cheap
    +are refurbished usually good quality?

    Yeah Dependent on you buying them from a reputable site, IMO I would just place a buying add in the forum, under the marketplace... I would rather buy from someone here than a Site that looks pretty sketchy lol...

    I was directed to the site by a seller on ebay, selling the same m17x. But on an auction, i asked if i could buy it for a set price, and he told me to go to his personal site. (shrugs) Price is very tempting for the specs.

    I wouldn't go there... Just look at a new one... www.Xoticpc.com Look at the bottom, seeing as you want dual GPU's the Asus W90 is the best gaming laptop on the market right now... Slightly larger screen and slightly lower battery life, but with dual GPU's I'm guessing you don't care alot :D lo;

    Nah, i care almost as much about performance as aesthetics. I want it look damn good, hence alienware, no other laptops i have found look as good and have same gaming capabilities. IF so..point the way

    Oh I love the look of the ASUS W90VP touch sliders and button controls, sleek brushed metal design... racer car vents and awesome speakers... 5 sub woofs that all just add to the look

    This is where i disagree i find the w90 quite repulsive, if it had a different chassis i would have bought it by now.

    It has to because well it has dual 4870's thats why Alienware hasn't done so yet... the chassis they use aren't nearly big enough, nor have the cooling capacity
