Correct me if I'm wrong, the R1 has the 1510 version of this card, and the R2 comes with their 1520 version. Is that correct? I just wanted to make sure both cards are basically the same, and the 1520 supports wireless-n right?

The AW1510 was their original offering - I believe that the default option on all of the platforms is now the 1520. Not sure, but you can check the config pages of the order side of the dell site.

Internal 300Mbps Dual-Band a/g/n Wireless with MIMO Technology is what the config page for the R1 gives me, 2x2 a/g/n MIMO to be exact. Dells search feature doesnt give me anything else regarding both cards. Not sure if Internal 300Mbps Dual-Band a/g/n Wireless with MIMO Technology is just another name for Wireless 1510 802.11n Half Mini-Card.

You can always up grade to the intel N6300 nice fast card. The 3rd ant: wire is already by the old card in a holder gray color. In most R2's. Babyheim on the forum sell them for like 39.00 include shipping easy to change out. Great upgrade.
