I've looked all over and I can't find anything on why my keyboard doesn't light up. I've installed the command center and in there the keyboard is not labeled as a light zone. Did I get the CC for the non-illuminated keyboard? How do I go about fixing this?

    Thanks.

create a new profile in alienfx in the command center, try there. If it still doesnt work, then save, go back to the original. Creating a new profile solved it for me though.

I wouldn't be asking if it never did...

    I'll try a new profile.

    EDIT: Thanks man that worked!

I had this issue too. You need to install the keyboard OSD utility from the support disk.

I knew it probably worked for you but there have been at least a couple people having the 'problem' of a non-illuminated keyboard when in the end they never ordered it. I know it sounds silly, but I ask it anyway because it has been the case before.

Anyway, good to hear it's all back online

    Yeah.

It's the biggest pain to reinstall everything.

Np... i did a full reinstall when i got my m15x back from service. That one had me scratching my head for a day ... I came across the fix by a CS agent :) so the respect is really due to Alienware ...

I had that exact same problem too and i spent 2 hours with tech suport and finally they said send it back in something is worng and I said no way, put me through to Roswell, and I explained things to the roswell team and in 2 seconds we fixed it. There is a world of difference between Roswell support and the regular techies.
