    Hey.
I read somewhere that if the cloth form the vent holes are remove, the temps of the M17 could be around 10.C less? It's that true?
There are any other problem if I remove the cloth? like, dont know, more dust?

    Thanks

Removed mine 4 days ago since i was changing the hdd i decided to clean the laptop inside a bit as well.

Load temps didnt drop that much but my idle temps are down by 10c~ now. For eg my ati's idle at 45-46c now and my cpu goes as low as 36c. Note that these temps are without a cooler and stock paste/pads. So im assuming the temps can go even lower with a cooler under the laptop since it will blow air up the vents better.

When you remove the cloth you will see what people mean, mine where full of dust, which is impossible to clean all of it from that type of fabric. I guess more dust can get into the laptop but either way you have to clean it once in a while, but the lower temps will increase the hardwares lifespan in general.

When did you buy your m17 ? If its more than half a year ago then you will laugh from the amount of dust those cloths will have on them :p

after about a month of using my whitebook, i looked at my CPU and my gpu fans to be surprised that it had so much dust for a short period of time. So I ripedd all of them off.
