Repair vista with alienware System recovery dvd

I cant seem to repair vista with the vista DVD that Alienware sent me when i got my M15x it just reinstals vista is there a way just to repair and not reinstal or is the alienware system recovery disk not able to do that

 

becouse it is only vista on that dvd,they shouldn't say that this is recovery.That what AW give is olny vista on dvd,just the system.So when you reinstall or install new system you have to go to "my hive" and dowload all drivers and install them on your m15x.that is a shame,they should give all recovery on dvd like other company do,specially that costumer must pay a lot of money for aw system.
P.s. I'm not sure but I think that this "Alien Respawn" or something is like recovery dvd and people must pay extra for that but I'm not sure.

 

Alienware recovery disk will format the drive(s) and reinstall the operating system. If you ordered the respawn disk, it will be a faster process as it is an image and will have drivers included. To restore the system, you may use the windows restore system tool or check this knowledge base article. Vista Recovery Environment.

but when searching around the internet when problems come up people say enter ur windows vista disk and then click the option to repair windows but i never get this option

 

you won't get that option. You need a Vista dvd. In the windows section of this forum someone mentioned a way you could get a Vista dvd legally and all you would need is your license code but seeing as how your just trying to do a repair this would work pretty good.
