I have this mouse a year ago. It didn't became my main mouse since my very old Logitech MX518 is still up and running (even until now), but I have been using it for occasional gaming which I believe is not a hard task for $100 gaming mouse. It's not until last month since I've been using it regularly as a main mouse for my newly built PC. However lately it started malfunctioning, started with repeated clicks, and now it's totally unusable. I can't even drag a simple thing now, the hold always stops in the way.
This is so unfortunate because I love my mouse (despite how extremely long the cable is). Have you guys ever experienced something like this with your Alienware mouse? Any way to fix it?
I was just about to buy the Tactx keyboard, but seeing how short the life of the mouse is, I'm not so sure about Alienware peripherals anymore..

I have experienced this with Logitech and Microsoft mice, wired and wireless, and it is really frustrating. My TactX mouse has never done it before, but I don't think it has anything to do with the type or brand of mouse. You may need to take it apart and blow out the inside with compressed air. The mouse button switches might be sticking in the depressed position. I was never able to correct the problem with the Microsoft mouse and it may have had the left mouse button switch worn out. I may have been damaged from being dropped... difficult to say for sure, but cleaning it fixed the problem on my Logitech mouse.
Have you tried it on more than one USB port to see if the behavior changes? -
I understand sometimes the product failures have nothing to do with the brand. But I assume since it's rather a luxury gaming mouse, it would be built precisely to perform and to last. Heck my $30 Logitech MX518 still functioning after almost 5 years of usage. -
i had the same repeated clicking with my tactx mouse and couldn't find a fix for it. i don't do a ton of gaming anymore but i do alot of cad work so i just have to replace it. i haven't had this experience with logitech. i replaced my tact x it with a razer ouroboros and i kinda regret that decision......
i ordered the tactx keyboard before the mouse and i haven't had one problem with it yet. but i will probably replace it with a corsair k70 rgb in a couple of months.Mr. Fox likes this. -
The K70 is definitely a sweet keyboard. I've also been thinking about grabbing one of these Colada keyboards... I like that they are made of aluminum... I especially like aesthetics of the black "Evil" and the "Lobera Supreme" versions.

I don't know how to put this.. My Alienware Tactx Mouse does magically fixed today, and I have no recollection of what's happening and how.
There's a good chance it might get broken again sometimes, likely in near future. Anyway I guess the issue is fixed for now, thanks for your help guys! -
I have had my Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Red) for 5 months and 1 of my LED's has died. Corsair are replacing it. I would advise you wait for the new K70 RGB as they are replacing the method to which the LED's are mounted to the keyboard which should avoid the LED's Dying. Other than this actually known issue with the K70 it is amazing!!!!!

I think I will wait for that K70 RGB. Besides the fact that it is a Corsair, looks like their new RGB lighting setup will beat anything else available... anywhere... including AlienFX. Thanks for the heads up. +1 Rep
That's too awesome for only a link to YouTube... need to embed that video.

Wow, a keyboard like than on an Alienware seems like the next logical step.
Repeated clicks on Tactx Mouse
