What is the best PSU and GPU that is compatible with the M9750? I'm getting screen artifacts and "display driver stopped working and has recovered" errors and I read that a fried GPU and insufficient voltage are the problems.

    So, which should I get?

He's asking: What happens when you try to play on Battery?

Anyways, you might want to check your temperatures. People around here recommend HWMonitor but I think RivaTuner does a good job as well. Blow out your vents and possibly replace the stock thermal paste with something better.

The best GPU? Two ATi Radeon Mobility 3870 cards.

The best GPU that Alienware would sell you? Two nVidia 8700M cards, or two nVidia 7950GTX cards. (The latter is more powerful but harder to come by)

If you want to replace the GPUs get two 3870 cards if you can, they have been proved to work fine and they give a huge performance boost.

Does that truly work? I have a Intel Duo Core 2.0 GHz processor. Would it work or would the CPU hold back the system?

No your CPU wouldn't really hold you back.

You could overclock it if you want. I got my 2ghz cpu to 2.72ghz in my notebook, and my ram is what's unstable.

But like I said, it's not really a problem for most games.
