One of the partitions on my HDD is this Respawn Recovery OEM.
My question, and sorry for the lack of knowledge :), how do i recover my system using this partition?

You can recover your system to factory state using the AlienRespawn tool within Windows or from Startup.

Also, keep in mind that if this partition is ever damaged or lost you may not be able to do this. That's where the disc/USB backups come in handy. ;)

Yes, when you install the software it will create an image and recognize it as the "factory image." In fact, I just did this about 20 minutes ago, and just finished backing it up to USB.

So, before you install AlienRespawn, get everything the way you want it for the image. :)

    Hi everyone.
I would appreciate if someone was able to let me know, if I have erased the Respawn partition, am I still able to recover everything to factory default if I have the Respawn DVD?
And is it normal that Respawn DVD seem to be empty when I insert it in laptop in Windows Explorer? It's an original Respawn DVD with an Alienware Part Number (ordered with the machine)
Thank you in advance for any response.

Assuming that the disc is a factory image of your machine, and not just software for AlienRespawn, you should be able to use that to recover your machine to its original factory state. If I recall correctly, Dell/Alienware used to ship machines with an image but then changed to having the user create recovery media when they turn on their system for the first time using AlienRespawn software.

How long ago did you buy the machine? - out of Interest and what's the part number on the disc?
